Day 5
Our last day. Breakfast and furious packing were the activities initially, before we caught our last subway out to Queens and the Museum of Moving Image. After a tour and a video games workshop, we headed back into the city for one last pizza feast before getting the coach to the airport. All present, tired and eager to catch up on some sleep!

Day 4
Yesterday - day 4 - was a busy one. We were out from 10am and got back to the hotel at 11 pm. We visited the Paley Media centre for a sound workshop, nipped across town to Bloomindales and Dylan's candy store, found a pizza place for lunch and then visited the Sony Wonder Lab and the Empire State Building. Dinner was had in Times Square at Planet Hollywood and then we had an hour finishing up any last minute shopping. It is safe to say that everyone was exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel!

Day 3 - An update
Well fortunately the forecast was a little off today and it was a few degrees warmer than yesterday which made walking around the city a much more enjoyable experience. We had breakfast at a local diner, visited St Patrick's Cathedral, strolled around the Metropolitan a Museum of Art and then shopped until we were close to dropping! Lots of walking today, but at least it has burnt off some of the pancakes, hotdogs and pizza.
Ready for day 3
After a cold but action packed day yesterday, we are looking forward to some culture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and then some retail time. Pictures will follow later in the day but for now here are some more images from yesterday.

Day 2
A late start to the day after our delay yesterday but we left our lovely hotel at eleven and made our way to Battery Park to catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. To say it is cold is to completely understate just how freezing it is today (-16) and the wind really adds to the chill factor. It is so cold in fact that several phones temporarily stopped working!
After the visit there, we walked to the 9/11 memorial which has changed so much since last year. You can now just walk into the area as the fencing and security has been removed. A sobering moment and time for reflection.
